For immediate Release:
FARGO, ND (September 27, 2017) – Lux Communities (Lux), a multifamily property management group, announces the official opening of its first apartment community art gallery in their newly opened 300lime property.
“Without a doubt, art is essential to establishing and maintaining vibrant and scenic communities, but the arts also have so many other benefits. They increase business, improve our social well-being and promote expression, compassion and diversity,” says Austin Morris, Co-owner of Enclave Development, the company responsible for constructing 300lime.
To celebrate the new art gallery, Lux Communities is partnering with the Fargo Moorhead Visual Artists (FMVA) to display members’ art work for the 2017-2018 exhibitions season beginning Thursday, November 2nd, 2017. All two-dimensional mediums are welcome including painting, photography, fiber, prints, and mixed media.
“As the leading visual arts organization in the area, FMVA is proud to showcase our artists at 300lime’s gorgeous venue. We’re grateful that Lux Communities gave us this exclusive display opportunity,” says Karen Perry-Anderson, Vice President of the FMVA.
Submissions guidelines are posted on the Lux Communities Facebook page and the FMVA Facebook page. The deadline is Wednesday, October 11th, 2017 at midnight. All applicants must be members of FMVA to submit art work for this season. Membership information can be found on the FMVA website or please email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application.
“Everyone here at Enclave Development and Lux is proud of our local arts community and we’re thrilled to be partnering with the FMVA. Our goal is to help get more art work seen in our community. 300lime’s Art Gallery is a great beginning for our company to show its support and commitment,” says Morris.
Enclave’s and Lux’s investment in the local arts community doesn’t stop with the creation of the 300lime Art Gallery. In addition to the gallery, they also purchased work from local artists such as Ashley Kunz, Justin Benson, Chelsea Burns, Brock Davis and Carrie Schwanke, most of which is on display in the lobby.
“Though we love all types of art work, we’re especially proud of the two large murals by Steve Knutson (in the resident entryway and pet spa) that capture the quintessential character of 300lime. Non-residents can even view them from the street. Please stop by and see them!” says Morris. “I’d love to be part of a city that has art work visible on every corner or at least as many murals as bars.”
